Clara Robertson

Program Director

 

Ms. Robertson was instrumental in the establishment of V. I. P. in 2015. She collaborated with the Quincy Society of Fine Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts in obtaining funding for V. I. P.'s 2015 poetry workshops, coordinated with the schools of Adams County, was directly involved in the development of the program's curriculum, and headed one of the workshops given at Liberty Middle School in 2015. 

 

Ms. Robertson is a self-published author of both poetry and fiction. She has published three books: The Genre Doesn't Matter and Sometimes the Bad Guy Wins (no longer in print), When the Gods Walked Out, and Death and Other Ends. She is currently working on her next novel, The Conclave. Ms. Robertson competes regulary in local poetry slams, participates in a number of local and online writing groups, and is currently serving as the Head of Public Relations for the Quincy Writers Guild.

Michalea Moore

Financial Coordinator

 

Ms. Moore manages the finances of V. I. P. She oversees the purchase of any and all materials used to facilitate the workshops, composes grant applications, and maintains receipts. She also was involved in the development of curriculum and helped teach one of the workshops at Liberty Middle School.

 

Ms. Moore is a technical editor and information architect for the IBM corporation. She has a BA from the University of Illinois-Champaign Urbana in Rhetoric and a dual minor in Philosophy and Classics with an emphasis on mythology. She is a member of the Quincy Writers Guild, has served as a judge in local poetry slams, and is currently working on her novel, Queen of Heka, based on ancient Egyptian mythology.
